Application for Bail Refund

I. Method of claiming bail refund:
1.  Claim in person.
2.  Authorize another person for the claim.
3. Refund by remittance.


II. For those claiming the refund in person or by authorizing another person, please go to the Office’s one-stop service counter for bail refund on specified date after receiving the notice of bail refund. Refund will be made after the documents are verified by the cashier.


III. If the guarantor is making the claim in person, please bring the following documents:
1.  Notice of bail refund
2.  The original receipt of payment
3.  The guarantor’s ID card and personal seal

 
IV. For an authorized person who is making the claim, the following documents are required:
1.  Notice of bail refund
2. The original receipt of payment
3.  The authorized person’s ID card and personal seal
4.  Letter of authorization (blank form is available at the Office free of charge, which has to be affixed with the authorizing person’s seal, and the authorizing person’s age and residential address should be stated. Also, a photocopy of the authorizing person’s ID card should be attached). If the authorized person is the guarantor’s spouse or adult immediate family member with authorization, please bring a photocopy of the household certificate.


V. Refund of bail through remittance to a financial institution:
1. If the guarantor wishes to get the bail refund by remittance, he/she may just complete the remittance application attached to the Office’s notice of bail refund after receiving the notice, and send back the remittance application and the receipt of payment to our Accounting Office by registered with AR mail for processing of the refund remittance. (Failure to send the application and receipt back before deadline is considered to be opting for claiming the refund in person at the Office.)
2. Remittance of bail refund is one of the convenient services of the Office, which may save the claimant’s traveling to and fro the Office. All are welcome to use the service.
